Fuet is a Catalan thin, dry cured, sausage of pork meat in a pork gut. Fuet is a very typical pork sausage from Vic in Cataluña, but this one is made in the United States. None is imported from Vic currently. It is flavored with black pepper and garlic, and sometimes aniseed (anise), but unlike Chorizo contains no paprika.
Slice this sausage and serve with crusty bread. In addition to being served as charcuterie, Fuet is also great in hearty soups and stews.
