Antonio Tomas Cebolla Rice Valencia D.O. short-grain Valencian rice is super-absorbent (more so than other varieties of rice), and is praised for its ability to absorb flavors and remain firm. This rice has D.O. status (Denomination of Origin) which is a prestigious product classification awarded to food products that are produced in designated regions according to stringent production criteria. Therefore, to ensure the utmost quality and provenance each bag of rice is individually numbered with D.O. label. Although the name reads “cebolla” which in Spanish means onion, this is all rice. Cebolla is the last name of the founder.
Arrocerias Antonio Tomas, a family-owned company founded in 1962 by Antonio Tomás, still preserves the values of quality and direct interaction with farmers and customers instilled by its founders.
